Countryside Bike Tour
The Countryside Bike Tour takes you out of the city. During 4 hours you get to see the landscape around Amsterdam and some real Dutch specialities. We will show you one of the few remaining authentic windmills and visit an entertaining Dutch farmer at his cheese farm/clog factory, where he will demonstrate the traditional art of making wooden shoes. You can also have some free samples of authentic Dutch cheese, try on wooden shoes and go cow tipping (if you can catch them). So put on your comfortable shoes and join us for the ride!
The tour begins with a historical introduction. In the city we pass the skinny bridges, crooked building and bike filled canals. The majority of the tour is spent riding along the Amstel River beyond the edge of town where we will pass by funky houseboats, rowing clubs and people fishing. We will see a windmill and visit a cheese farm and a clog factory. Coming back into town we go through Beatrix and Vondel park before finishing.
