Canal Motorboats: Zandhoek 10 A
The embarkation is located close to the city centre of Amsterdam.
If you come from the city, take tram number 3 and exit at the Zoutkeetgracht. Follow the Zoutkeetsgracht and turn right over white bridge.
From Central Station take bus number 48 direction Sloterdijk and exit at Barendszplein. Cross to Barendszplein, turn left at Bokkinghangen and go straight over white bridge.
Be Your Own Captain
Amsterdam is often referred to as the Venice of the North because of the canals which divide the city into ninety small islands, linked together by more than a thousands bridges. The best way to discover this extensive canal system lined with impressive mansions and floating houseboats is by water. With our boats you can follow your own plan and return to your favorite spots as many times as you want.
The aluminum “whisper” boats are provided with silent electro-outboard motor and have a maximum capacaty of 6 persons. You will not get tired and the tranquility will give you a totally relaxed day.
The boats are 5.50 m long and 1.80 m wide. They are provided with a 1500 W electro-outaboard motor, fed by 4 batteries that enable you to easily sail a whole day. The boats are provided with airbags, so if they are filled with water they will always stay afloat.
You have the silent motorboat to explore the canals of Amsterdam on your own for 2 hours. Before departure, you will get instructions and you are provided with waterproof map. It is possible to rent the boat also for 1 or more than 2 hours. The more hours you rent, the cheaper it is!
Participant guidelines
Operating the boats is one-handed and very simple, anyone can do it. You will be provided with a waterproof map and telephone number in case of problems. We'll come and help you out within minutes. Before departure you'll get elaborate instructions, also about where the boat can't go.
Other disclosures
Valid I.D. is required. As guarantee a blanc sale-slip from your credit-card will be made, which you sign as deposit. You can also choose for a cash deposit of €150.
When you hire a boat, you are responsible, that means:
- You operate according to traffic/boating rules.
- You are responsible for the boat and its sailors.
- The river "IJ" is forbidden territory for our boats.
- Sailing is at your own risk.
